As our motto (Brothers. Scholars. Champions.) states, Keough is a community of spirited, connected brothers. We thirst for competition and the glory of victory, but remember the many causes of charity in which we are fighting for. Do not be deceived by Keough Hall's short existence--the traditions that take place every year exceed the standards of many, older dorms.

Chariot Race & Toga Dance
Keough’s signature event, the Chariot Race, and a week full of events leading up to it. Usually the week kicks off with the Toga Dinner, where hundreds of ‘roos clad solely in togas march for glory to South Dining Hall. Mid-week the real work begins: building a chariot fit for victory. Only a subtle combination of tradition, engineering prowess, and creativity will result in triumph. On Saturday, the Chariot Race is where Keough men alongside other residence halls race across the ‘U’ shaped track for glory and honor. Pizza and competition keep the rowdy crowds at bay. The week culminates on Saturday night at the Toga Dance, where one can find ladies from all across the land imitating the ‘roos toga attire and joining in food and dance.
Keough Strongman
Keough Strongman is our ultimate test of raw power, unmatched determination, and the spirit of true strength at the 2024 Keough Strongman event! Competitors' lifts are tested in 3 rep maxes, and competitors can choose any of Squat, Bench, and conventional Deadlift. The event is scored using a strength-to-weight ratio and overall strongest Roo. Competitors are guaranteed to push their limits, showcase their jaw-dropping deadlifts and mind-blowing bench presses. Strongman is one of Keough’s unforgettable experiences for all attendees, filled with excitement and feats of strength that are guaranteed to captivate the audience.
Keough - O’Neill Rivalry
O’Neill and Keough have been rivals since we split from Grace Hall. Each year we enter into intense competition to see who truly is the better dorm. From the Grace Cup in August, to Rivalry week during the year we are always showing that Keough Hall is made up of Champions.
